She kept walking on the sidewalk, kept turning back to ensure no one followed her, and clutched the bag tight near her chest. The silence of the night, and chill in the air kept piercing through her skin, making her tremble every now and then. Deep down, she wished she hadn’t chosen this hour of the day to complete the task. Her mind kept going back to the bar and to him. She wasn’t supposed to fall in love with her clients, the thumb rule of her profession.

P. S – Paradise is an IBA official cocktail, and is classified as a “pre-dinner” drink, an apéritif. This cocktail is prepared using gin, apricot brandy (apricot liqueur), and orange juice in a 2:1:1 ratio, with a splash of lemon juice. The cocktail was invented by Harry Craddock, one of the most famous bartenders of the 1920s and 1930s and it is a pure classic. The drink also finds mention in the 1933 Warner Bros. romantic film One Way Passage.
