She knew no other way to get off with the crime.

Nice twist. I’m guessing he deserved what he got? Or is she a cruel negative character with no remorse? So many questions! But since she couldn’t do it while sober, I think there’s some remorse. Yes?
Vexation suppressed for too long leads one to take extreme steps in life sometimes, even if it needs to end up being fatal. And yes of course, the remorse exists.
