The vanity of maximum city had started playing saboteurs. It felt like that impending happiness made fun of the demeanor I portrayed while keeping every tear drop from trickling. It was high time I deciphered the meaning to all synchronicities, for by now, my otherwise lively mind began to appear senile and overshadowed by gloom.
I read Death In The Afternoon and my mind digresses to the leftover Absinthe.
It was absinthe in the cocktail doing its job. I felt being transported to a different world. For now, it was bliss.
But tomorrow, was going to be a new day.
P. S β Death in the Afternoon cocktail made up of Absinthe and Champagne invented by Ernest Hemingway. The cocktail shares a name with Hemingway’s book Death in the Afternoon, and the recipe was published in So Red the Nose or Breath in the Afternoon, 1935 cocktail book with contributions from famous authors.
The drink looks exotic! And man it has absinthe? I’ve had my share of absinthe and now I’m never gonna touch it again! It makes me uncontrollable and out of my senses!
Cheers
It is absinthe and champagne. I have never had absinthe but would love to experience it at least once after all that i heard and read about it. The cocktail looks exotic may be i can try absinthe in this version.

What a fun theme you have chosen! I have always been curious to try absinthe. Perhaps this is a better way to try it.
