It was time to let go and move on. For, everything seemed to become distant by now. The setting sun, the cobble-stoned corners that once witnessed their silent nothings, the once occupied wrinkled sheets, the mess of enamored canvases, the unkempt wardrobe and the fights for space in it, the night long chats sitting under the stairs even in a vacant home. She missed the breeze that blew her hair. He missed her whiff that came with the breeze.
Of all things that they both missed separately, the only go-betweens were the Black Velvet(s). She wore it. He drank it.
P. S –Β Black Velvet is a beer cocktail made from stout (often Guinness) and white, sparkling wine, traditionally Champagne.Β The drink was first created by the bartender of Brooks’s Club in London in 1861, to mourn the death of Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s Prince Consort.
I have signed up for Blogging From A-Z Challenge- April 2017.Β I would be writing 100 words fiction this A-Z season. My fiction pieces will be twisted around various cocktails.
Oooh, nice π I loved the last sentence. Also, looks like a fancy cocktail π
