The evidences presented in the court were in his favor and he felt, for the first time in 10 months, since the day he was charged of felony, he would walk out as a free man today. He never bothered what opinion people kept of him, however, did not wish to let her down. She too, trusted him at a time when the entire world went against him. They needed something as strong as Moscow Mule to celebrate their success. Beating their copper cups against each otherβs, both smiled cunningly.
The real evidences lay in one corner of her bag.
P. S – Moscow Mule is a cocktail drink prepared by mixing Vodka, Ginger beer, lime juice, garnished with a slice or wedge of lime and served with ice and mint in copper mugs. The drink is famous for its gingery kick and refreshing lemon flavor. Most of the stories about the birth of this cocktail drink dates back to 1940s. The drink has quite an interesting history of how 3 failed ventures came together and formed a cocktail of success.
I have signed up for Blogging From A-Z Challenge- April 2017. I would be writing 100 words fiction this A-Z season. My fiction pieces will be twisted around various cocktails.
You’ve been doing some research, I see. Amazing info! By the way, do you happen to try all these drinks before you start writing the post about them? π Just kidding! I love the way you tie up all that information with your fictional pieces.
Love that intense story scene you wrote to accompany your drink recipe. It’s fun how you even worked a description of the beautiful image into the scene!
I only recently heard of a Moscow Mule (maybe five years ago?) … but it seems to be a very popular drink these days. Perhaps I will give it a try this summer.
I know it is often served in a copper mug, but is that mandatory?
Hey Molly! The copper mug is used to serve the cocktail cz of the scientific benefit of copper keeping the temperature of the cocktail low. Did not find any mandate on the drink served in copper mug. I do not see any reason why it shouldn’t be served in a glass.
Additionally, the copper mug was used as a marketing strategy to promote the drink at the time of it’s origin and I guess it remained as it is till date.
I kept wondering the same when I first came across this cocktail sometime back. Some say the mule was added to the name cz of the kick that ginger beer delivers to the flavor
