#A-Z Challenge – T is For Tequila Sunrise
He stood there, still and stunned, at the sight of her. He had given in to wife’s insistence on meeting the person she most admired in flesh and blood. His wife was her fan and he accompanied beloved wife to see her speak at the meet. She seemed to behave rather curtly when wife introduced themselves to her. Wife was heartbroken since she wasn’t used to being avoided.
But how could he explain? It was him she avoided.
Backstage, she toasted her success with Tequila Sunrise, friends, family and fans. Flamboyance, she recalled, was what he had left her for.

P. S – Tequila Sunrise is a cocktail made of tequila, orange juice, and grenadine syrup and served unmixed in a tall glass. The modern drink originates from Sausalito in the early 1970s, after an earlier one created in the 1930s in Phoenix, near Scottsdale. The original Tequila Sunrise contained tequila, crème de cassis, lime juice and soda water and was served at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel, where it was created by Gene Sulit in the 1930s or 1940s.
